The St. Andrew's Chiropractic & Wellness Path to Optimal Health
Injury & Dysfunction
The keys to this stage are diagnosing the cause of the problem (as well as addressing the symptoms) and initiating treatment as soon as possible. Generally the longer you wait before you seek help for your problem, the longer it will take to heal. St. Andrew’s Chiropractic & Wellness offers several different options for treating the same injury all under one roof, treatments can include: Chiropractic, Registered Massage Therapy and other soft tissue techniques, Physiotherapy Modalities, Shockwave Therapy, Naturopathic Medicine, Acupuncture, Exercises and Custom Orthotics in whatever manner the injury or dysfunction calls for. If for whatever reason you require care that is not offered at this office you would immediately be referred for care elsewhere.
Recovery
Usually the longest stage in the process, recovery encompasses the initial acute phase right up to the point when you are given a clean bill of health by the healthcare team at St. Andrew’s. On your way to recovery your treatment will be constantly evaluated and adjusted with new therapies (as needed) to make sure you stay on the right track.
Prevention
Once you’re doing well, the goal is to prevent future episodes or flare-ups. Much like a check-up at the dentist or an oil-change for your car our bodies often need a little work to keep things running in top shape. This is accomplished by maintenance visits/check-ups on a semi-regular basis to catch problems before they send you back to the injury and dysfunction phase.
Enhancing Performance
Once preventative measures have been established and adhered to. The focus of your treatments can shift to performance enhancement. Determining short and long term goals with Dr. Avery and the staff at St. Andrew’s Chiropractic & Wellness will form the proper plan to achieve your goals safely and effectively without sacrificing performance.
